HOLIDAY SHIPPING PROCESSING TIME UPDATE:
This disclaimer is being added to the top of every listing, as well as a reminder banner at the top of every page. Please read this message at least once, and then feel free to scroll past it for future listings you visit, as the information included is the same. Thank you!
❇️ 1.) ALL ORDERS placed after November 18th will be processed, packaged & shipped on a rolling basis. This means that while I *might* be able to do it in the standard 7 business days I typically ask for, it could just as easily be *weeks*
❇️ 2.) ALL ORDERS will SHIP *ON* or *BY* DECEMBER 10th. This means your order could be sent out *any time* between the day after you place it through end of day December 10th. Please plan accordingly.
❇️ 3.) WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? Good question-- there's a number of reasons. First and foremost, this time of year is very difficult for me emotionally & physically (seasonal depression + c-ptsd, combined with a serious uptick in nastiness from customers who expect small businesses to be amaz*n, shorter days and the challenge of getting to my studio & back home, alone, within a time frame that feels SAFE for a single woman. Not to mention end of year burnout, stress induced physical flare ups which make work painful and just generally being overwhelmed). The other reasons have to do with logistics-- making the merchandise, packing it and shipping it are all interwoven but time sensitive and time consuming pieces of the same puzzle. ✨ SHIPPING: the USPS made the holiday season unrelentingly AWFUL for package senders and recipients alike. As a result of their slowing down, not scanning, falsifying tracking & "losing" packages, I spent far too much time and energy running interference for them last year. I lost hundreds of dollars in wasted shipping costs & hundreds more in "lost" product. I WILL NOT BE REFUNDING ANYONE FOR "LOST", DELAYED, or DAMAGED PACKAGES. IF you are interested in having the opportunity to recoup any money due to any of those things, you will need to purchase insured, priority shipping. This can be added to any order-- just email me after you check out and I will give you a quote for the additional charge. ✨PACKING: I have RA and between the cold weather, increased stress, long days and many hours spent sitting, my body is an achy mess this time of year. In addition, I get overwhelmed & overstimulated easily-- gathering items, double and triple checking I've got your order complete, and then going through all the steps to get it safely packaged and out the door takes a lot more out of me than it probably should. I also work under a massively diminished daily schedule now, due to COVID related issues & more; I am unable to be in my studio as early or stay as late as I would like. In order to maintain my health and safety, I will need to build in a much longer processing time now. ✨PROCESSING: You may already know, I am about halfway through a MAJOR studio overhaul (most of my stuff is either in boxes, or it's unpacked but unusable, part of a pile, or otherwise lost in a mess). The timing of this isn't great, but both shows must go on! As such it will definitely take me longer to not only FIND stuff in all my random boxes, but also with less space to comfortably walk around in right now, and next to no open desktop space to prep multiple orders, I will have to work pretty inefficiently for now.
❇️ 4. Where I would normally have a healthy stock of pre-made merchandise on hand, I've been trying to embrace more of a "made on demand" type model to reduce waste and clutter, and keep costs down for both of us. As such, many of the items in the shop now won't exist until purchased. By holding one single guaranteed ship date, I am giving myself room to make any of these handmade items in a loving and un-rushed manner. Details regarding the exact nature of the way this affects certain items will be included in its listing if applicable.
❇️ 5. INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS: I am *happy* to ship to you-- unfortunately, I can say with great confidence that your orders will almost certainly not reach you in time for Christmas, AND the cost to ship will be absurd. IF you have your heart set on something and aren't worried about the ship time, please EMAIL ME so I can update the shipping options for you. You should put the items you are interested in in your cart and then screenshot your final order page so I can see what you're looking to buy; email it to me along with your shipping address. I will put together a mock package and weigh it and send you the exact shipping cost.
❇️ 6. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8th will be the last day the shop is open for NEW purchases. After that, the shop will go offline while I get the remaining orders shipped and prepare the shop for "hibernation mode".
❇️ 7. HIBERNATION MODE means the shop will be visible again and open for orders BUT there will be no guaranteed shipping again until the new year. New orders could be on hold for up to a month. The shop banner & listing headings will remind shoppers of this.
